Dr. Maurice Hobson featured at "100 Years of African American Migrations" for the 2019 Association for the Study of African American Life and History held in North Charleston, SC. ASALH is the premiere organization for African American history. He presented his research coined as the Black New South, which debuted in his book titled The Legend of the Black Mecca: Politics and Class in the Making of Modern Atlanta.
